
Zambia: Final farewell to founding father.

Zambia’s founding president Kenneth Kaunda has been laid to rest in a state funeral today. His burial in the capital, Lusaka, ends a 21-day period of national mourning.
Gunmen abducted more than one hundred students from a boarding school in the northern state of Kaduna on Monday. It’s the latest in a wave of mass kidnappings in the country with more than 1’000 students seized since December.
And, in South Africa former President Jacob Zuma has urged the courts to block a midnight deadline for police to arrest him. Mr Zuma has been sentenced to 15 months in jail for contempt of court.
