Gunmen abducted more than one hundred students in the northern state of Kaduna on Monday
Gunmen abducted more than one hundred students from a boarding school in Kaduna sate in northern Nigeria on Monday. It’s the latest in a wave of mass kidnappings in the country with more than 1’000 students seized since December.
Zambia’s founding president Kenneth Kaunda has been laid to rest in a state funeral today. His burial in the capital, Lusaka, ends 21-day period of national mourning.
And, Uganda once hailed as a country showing others how to effectively deal with the coronavirus is now in the midst of a second wave. The government recently introduced more stringent restrictions and harsher penalties for breaking them including jail sentences.
