Ghana: President Akufo-Addo receives first Covax jab

The Covax programme aims to provide free vaccines to the world's poorer countries.

The president also said experts from Ghana's Food and Drugs Authority had declared the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine safe.

Ivory Coast have also begun their rollout of vaccines under the Covax programme, there are plans to distribute an initial half a million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.
