Uganda: Students begin their exams

A partial lockdown is still in place but a phased reopening of schools began last year

Over 300,000 students in Uganda have registered for the exams which will go ahead despite the coronavirus pandemic.

And, Ivory Coast has launched its vaccine rollout under the global Covax programme, which aims to provide vaccines to the world's poorer countries. The country plans to distribute an initial half a million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.
