More money for Wafcon winner, Afcon go expand to 28 teams - Caf introduce reforms for African football

Caf President Patrice Motsepe don confirm say Africa Cup of Nations go expand to 28 teams from di 2027 edition, wey Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda go host from June 19 to July 17, 2027.

Motsepe tok say di increase show Caf plan to further grow di tournament, afta dem already change di competition from evri two years to evri four years.

Di 2027 Afcon qualifiers go happun across three international windows: September 21 to October 6, 2026; November 9 to 17, 2026, and March 22 to 30, 2027.
