Blog par trois

By Hannah Green Blast Reporter
A third week of fun in Hampshire! Dancing, Cruises, Art and Festivals are the name of the game.

I understand that I should have written the third part of my Blog, during the third week of my placement. However since I have been exceptionally busy gathering lots of wonderful material for the site, I hope you wonderful readers don't mind the slight delay.

Dancing

7 Dances 7 Days is my new exciting dance feature for the next few weeks. I love to dance but have not really had the opportunity or time while I have been at university. So I will be touring the county trying different forms of dance over 7 days. Now these will not be consecutive days, but will be full lessons. Over the next few weeks I will be learning salsa, swing, ballet, belly dancing and other dance choices that's up to you. Check out the 7 Dances 7 Days pages to see my attempts and to vote on what other dances I should learn.

Cruises

See if you can spot me!

As part of my first installment of my 7 Dances 7 Days features, I went onto the Oceana cruise ship first thing Friday morning. I interviewed Kailey and John two performers who were able to tell me what it was like to live and work as a performer on cruise ships. I was then given a guided tour of the ship, which is a huge hotel on water. I had never been on a cruise ship before so check out the 7 Dances 7 Days feature to see what I thought of it .

Art

My visit to Southampton City Art Gallery has finally been published on my main page, and this Friday I will be meeting artists from the Bargate Monument Gallery. Check back next week to read more information about an art event which promises to be new and innovative for Southampton.

Festivals

On Saturday I went to the One Beat Music Festival in Basingstoke. This event showcases all the best local talent, from urban hip hop rappers, to bhangra dancers and heavy rock bands. I had a fabulous time and got to see lots of great local talent.
