When two tonnes of bricks were delivered to Walney School on Tuesday, it was all hands on deck to get them into the garden by hometime. | John Murphy passes bricks over the wall. |
The nearest the delivery man could get them was onto the pavement outside the school. Well, you can't just leave bricks lying about so we had to get them inside the garden's locked fence. Veronica Thomas quickly organised staff and pupils to help in a human chain. Suzanne (web-girl) and John Murphy passed the bricks over the wall to students who passed them along a chain and then stacked them neatly inside the gates. How much does two tonnes of bricks look like? Like this, twice over: We'll be using the bricks this week to build the raised beds in the garden. Want to help?
