TRACKLISTING. MONDAY 16/05/2011

The fine Glaswegian outfit Wrongnote (pictured) headed down the M6 to join us mobhanded in the studio for a chat about their summer tour plans and being the stars of a computer game…to find out more, listen to the interview in full on today’s show.

The legendary Steve Lamacq also popped in on today’s show to tell us about his BBC Introducing session at Maida Vale with the artist known as Foe from which we got the exclusive track ‘Tyrant Song’. We also showcased a new track by longstanding friends of the show, Slides from their forthcoming EP which is due out at the end of the month.

We also had our usual tips from the effervescent Bobby Friction and the lovely Huw Stephens. Sadly, tonight's were our last ever recommendations from our Girl Music Guru these past two years, Ruth Barnes. We wish her the best of luck for her new job, and know she’ll be amazing! Want to know what we’re talking about? Follow her at @otherwomanradio on twitter to find out.

On today’s show you can expect to hear everything from instrumental electro to country, classic Panjabi folk to Canadian alt-rock (we did rather love that Yes Cadets track in the studio). This just reaffirms our mission statement; if it’s good, fresh and on the net, we’ll play it! Of course, if you think we’ve missed something, get in touch and recommend your tracks over at http://tinyurl.com/recommendmusic
