2003: Everton and Liverpool to share a stadium?

Everton FC's plans for a new 52,000-seater stadium at the Bramley-Moore Dock site were unanimously approved by city councillors in 2021.

Things have certainly come a long way since 2003, when - with Everton's plans for a state-of-the-art new stadium at King's Dock in tatters, and Liverpool in the process of planning their own new ground near Anfield - the North West Development Agency proposed a ground share between the two football giants.
