British wildcard Arthur Fery, who started this tournament at 114th in the rankings, is through to the Wimbledon semi-finals after beating ninth seed Flavio Cobolli in straight sets on Centre Court.

Fery saved a break point in the first set.

He recovered from being broken to love in the opening game of the second before storming through the tie-break.

And bageled the world number 10 in the third.

More from Arthur Fery, on whether he would describe himself as cool, calm and collected: "Definitely not on the inside! I felt emotions that I've never experienced before in my life in that last game, and I'm sure it is the same up there [in my coaching box]. It is unbelievable to share this with those guys, they are a great bunch so I'm so happy."

On being the second wildcard to make it through to the Wimbledon men's semi-finals: "I don't know what I'll do over the next couple of days, I've never been in this position before! I guess it will be the first time and we will figure it all out as we go.

"I'm just going to keep going, I've been doing a great job for the past 10 days, so I'm just going to do the same thing and see where that takes me."

Great Britain's Arthur Fery, speaking on Centre Court after beating Italy's Flavio Cobolli in straight sets in his first Grand Slam quarter-final: "It just seems to get better and better every match! I just can't believe it.

"It was incredible playing on Centre Court for the second time and getting a second win. I just can't believe it.

"I played Flavio [Cobolli] earlier this year and I beat him in Australia which was a boost of confidence, so I knew that I could do it even though it was my first time in the quarter-finals and he has done it before in a Grand Slam. I was very nervous beforehand but I just kept going until the finish line."

And these were all superstars coming towards the end of their careers. Arthur Fery has done it as an unheralded 23-year-old.

The one time Cobolli didn't run into Fery at a major in 2026, he reached the final of the French Open.

Away from Arthur Fery's history-making run continuing on Centre Court, over on Court One, nobody expected it to be that straightforward for Alexander Zverev, who has secured his first ever Wimbledon semi-final and done it in straight sets.

The French Open champion also ends a rotten run against Taylor Fritz. He had lost their previous seven meetings.

And it was all wrapped up in just under two hours.

Fritz appeared hampered by a knee injury but he couldn't compete with Zverev's brilliance today.

And not to mention, your Wimbledon semi-finalist.

The British wildcard is in the semi-finals of Wimbledon. Extraordinary. The man who grew up so close to Centre Court now seems to own it.

Flavio Cobolli, who was well-beaten today, is gracious at the net.

They will cheer for him all day long, if he asks!
