Questions have often been asked about Raducanu's spirit. Has she got the heart for the fight? Is she resilient enough to come through tough situations?

This week she has shown she does possess that vital ingredient for any elite player.

The way which she has recovered in this second set is admirable and a positive sign for the future - however today turns out.

Raducanu is feeding off the crowd and starting to play her best tennis again.

Vekic is having to do an awful lot more running than she had to in the first set.

She was a one-strike wonder in the first set with her thunderous groundstrokes that shocked Raducanu but now Emma has been able to get on to the front foot and move her around.

A totally different vibe here now.

Raducanu looks like the player she's been all week, moving much better and asking more questions of Vekic.

Vekic, clearly, isn't painting lines like she was earlier. She's not enjoying being moved about in the now longer rallies.

The crowd have got their mojo back too. Those fruity cocktails are loosening the vocal cords.

Emma Raducanu does unbelievably well to reach a powerful Vekic serve on the stretch and force a rally, which she wins when Vekic overhits.

Vekic hits back with a brave second serve practically down the middle of the court, but Raducanu slams a winner at the net to secure a break point.

Vekic overhits a forehand from the baseline and Raducanu breaks for the second time in this set.

    Vekic 6-0 2-3 Raducanu

Donna Vekic rediscovers her serve and makes light work of her service game, clinching it with an ace. The Croat isn't going to let Raducanu back into this without a fight.

    Vekic 6-0 1-3 Raducanu

Raducanu absorbs the pace on a Vekic forehand with her legs and finds the corner with a great return.

Vekic hits back twice to go in front, before Raducanu hits a beautiful backhand winner from a powerful Vekic return. She is turning Vekic's power against her.

Raducanu then spoons a shot to give Vekic the chance to smash, but the Croat clips the net and the ball drops into the tramlines.

The momentum has well and truly swung.

Raducanu is doing a great job getting Vekic on the run, hitting into open space and moving her around.

She was getting a bit rattled talking to her coaching team but she is now starting to change the rhythm of the match and I think Vekic is feeling the pressure a bit and missing a few more first serves.

    Vekic 6-0 1-2 Raducanu*

Emma Raducanu breaks and leads for the first time today!

The Brit is coping much better with Vekic's serve, and brings up two break points with a superb forehand winner down the line.

But Raducanu then goes long on a return, then misses a drop shot. Deuce.

Vekic nets at the end of the longest rally of the match to bring up a third break point, and Vekic nets and hits her racquet on the court in frustration.

That could be a huge break.
