We'll soon have British number one Cameron Norrie in action on court 13.

He is set for a first meeting with Paraguay's Adolfo Daniel Vallejo to begin his ninth appearance at Roland Garros, having reached the second round in five of his previous eight appearances.

Norrie managed a career-best run to the fourth round in 2025, however a rib injury has hampered his preparations for this year's tournament.

Daniil Medvedev is looking like a man on a mission here, racing through his service game, and then coming up with a couple of beautiful backhands down the line on Adam Walton's serve.

The sixth seed is controlling the points now - a double break would surely mean match over, but Australian wild card Walton fends off two break points to hang on in the fifth set.

Two Britons out, two through.

Will Cameron Norrie and Jacob Fearnley join Fran Jones and Katie Boulter in the second round - or will they suffer the same fate as Emma Raducanu and Toby Samuel?

Norrie is the only Briton to be seeded at this year's Roland Garros and he will be taking on Paraguay's Adolfo Daniel Vallejo, who is ranked 71st in the world.

The match before his is into a fourth set - but hopefully there's not too long to wait now.

Fearnley, meanwhile, is up against Argentina's world number 56 Juan Manuel Cerundolo a bit later on.

Well, the French fans will rightly begin to get very, very excited about teenager Moise Kouame after that performance.

It's going to be a one-set shootout between sixth seed Daniil Medvedev and world number 97 Adam Walton.

Medvedev has been incredibly inconsistent so far today but finds some big serves as he clinches the fourth set 6-1, and then leaves the court for a comfort break.

The momentum has continually swung from one player to the other in this match - who is going to seize it in the final set?

Aryna Sabalenka has competition for the top spot in the women's world rankings at Roland Garros.

Elena Rybakina has a chance to overtake Sabalenka - but she will need to reach the semi-final in order to have a chance.

If Sabalenka reaches the fourth round then Rybakina would need to reach the final, and if Sabalenka reaches the semi-finals then Rybakina will need to lift the title.

Here is what women's world number one Aryna Sabalenka had to say following her first-round victory over Spain's Jessica Bouzas Maneiro.

First, on coming into the net more during points: "That's the most enjoyable part of the game right now, that I'm able to come to the net and play points there. I'm so glad I have improved that part of the game and I can bring it on court.

"It is hot. Thanks so much for staying and don't forget to stay hydrated guys - its pretty hot out here."

Only playing as world number one: "I think we all feel pressure, that is just part of our lives, so I have just learned to ignore it.

"I am still trying to learn what is perfect for me. I enjoy if [the conditions are] cold and slow, hot and quick. I try to enjoy the game and do my best. Let's hope this is the perfect condition for me and it's going to help me."

Australian wild card Adam Walton races to a 40-0 lead on his serve but then sprays wide a wayward volley.

It proves costly with sixth seed Daniil Medvedev finally converting his fourth break point for a double break in a game that lasts over 10 minutes.

Now it's Queenslander Walton who is showing signs of frustration, slamming a ball down into the clay.

Jessica Bouzas Maneiro is primed at the net to knock a volley away from Aryna Sabalenka for 30-30.

Credit to the Spaniard, she's not allowed herself to become dispirited during those spells where Sabalenka has hit full-flow.

And there is her reward! The world number 50 shakes her fist in low-key celebration as she makes a backhand to get one break back...

Daniil Medvedev is looking very hot and bothered on Court Suzanne-Lenglen, muttering to his box as three break points come and go on Adam Walton's serve. Especially frustrating is when one of those break points produces a brilliant rally, in which Medvedev seems in control but ends up hitting an overhead smash into the net.

However, Walton hits long after a long rally on the fourth break point, and Medvedev wearily waves his arms in celebration.

A little bit of frustration on show from Aryna Sabalenka - never one to hide her emotions - as she misses a forehand after coming out on top of a high-quality exchange at the net.

She's forced to serve out the contest as Jessica Bouzas Maneiro digs in to avoid a second-set bagel.

Jessica Bouzas Maneiro managed to fight back from 4-0 down in the first set, but there's no sense that Aryna Sabalenka is going to be held back this time!
