Ramsay-Peaty into 50m breaststroke semi-finals

England's Adam Ramsay-Peaty has qualified for the men's 50m breaststroke semi-finals.

The 31-year-old, who broke down in tears after taking bronze in the 100m on Saturday night, qualified as the fifth fastest swimmer with a time of 27.27 seconds.

World record holder Ramsay-Peaty will have to close the gap to South Africa's Michael Houlie - who set the pace in the heats with 26.53 - when he races in the semi-final at 19:57 BST on Sunday.

Max Morgan also qualified and will race in the same semi-final as Ramsay-Peaty.

Elsewhere, Luke Greenbank has set the standard in the men's 200m backstroke as the fastest qualifier for the final (1:58.05), while Oliver Morgan recorded the third quickest time, just 0.64 seconds behind Greenbank.

The men's 200m backstroke final takes place at 20:27 BST.
