Rugby League's commercial arm has appointed a sports accountancy firm as advisors to help continue growing the sport.
RL Commercial has brought in Deloitte's Sports Business Group to build on the progress made after a record-breaking year for Super League.
Last year, 1.62 million fans attended games and broadcast viewership rose by 52%.
Super League expanded to 14 teams for the 2026 season, with the promotion of Toulouse adding a second French team to the competition.
Deloitte advised the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on securing investment into the eight teams playing in The Hundred, as well as SailGP on its two-team expansion for the 2026 global racing championship.
Rhodri Jones, RL Commercial's managing director, said: "Rugby League is strongly positioned for growth and investment and by appointing trusted experts at Deloitte, we believe this is the right moment to secure the most advantageous outcome for the sport.
"Bringing Deloitte on board at this stage to provide guidance and explore opportunities in greater detail, represents a prudent and professional next step."
