St Helens hooker Daryl Clark has been ruled out for around eight weeks with an ankle ligament injury.
The 33-year-old picked it up in Sunday's bruising defeat by Wigan at Magic Weekend.
Saints have also revealed that prop David Klemmer suffered broken ribs in the game and will also be out for several weeks.
Fellow props Alex Walmsley and George Delaney both failed head injury assessments and will miss Sunday's home game against Toulouse.
Paul Rowley's side have now lost five of their past six Super League matches to fall to sixth in the table.
