  1. What's the play-off format?

    I'll quote the rules for you...

    In the event of a tie for first place, a hole-by-hole play-off will be played over the 18th hole and repeated until a winner emerges.

    Close but no cigar for Charley Hull at the 14th

    The Englishwoman who sees a birdie putt from 15 feet lip-out of the hole.

    Hull tuts to herself.

  4. Noh keeps cool head

    Noh -5 (10)

    Yealimi Noh has managed to regain some composure.

    She finds the middle of the fairway with her tee shot at the 10th then gets herself into birdie range on the green.

    The broomhandle putter is out, but she just misses the cup and has to settle for par.

    It's nip and tuck at the moment.

  5. 'Capacity for volatility'

    There is so much capacity for volatility here on the leaderboard in the closing stages.

    Remember Adam Scott in 2012? He bogeyed each of the final four holes to lose out to Ernie Els.

  6. Li leaping up leaderboard

    I wrote Lucy Li off quite a while ago now but she's quietly consolidated after the triple bogey at the fifth.

    Two birdies since then has got her back to -3 - and because of Yealimi Noh's struggles, she's now within two.

    Yealimi Noh led by three going into this final round but is only one ahead as she makes the turn.

    So many of these leading players are struggling out there.

    Call it now - will she get over the line?

  8. Hull -1, Ko E (13)

    There's not enough gas on that chip back from Charley Hull and when she pushes her birdie putt right it means she can only tap in for par. Her playing partner Lydia Ko collects her first birdie since the second hole.

    Holes are fast running out for Hull.

  9. Noh stops the rot

    Noh -5, Henseleit -2 (9)

    After back-to-back bogeys Yealimi Noh manages to stop the rot at the end of the back nine with par hold.

    No such luck for Esther Henseleit who has slipped back to two under.

  11. Ryu drops back after more sand troubles

    Ryu -2, Kuwaki -4 (11)

    Shiho Kuwaki's approach into the 11th comes up short but she's well entitled to think a decent up and down could yield a birdie here.

    She's caught that way to thin mind and now has work to do with her flatstick. It'll be a par as her effort grazes the left edge and that may prove costly.

    Meanwhile, her playing partner Haeran Ryu, is playing out of a greenside bunker and looks to be struggling to save her par. She knocks a long putt down towards the cup but it's always staying right.

  12. Hsu -3 (15)

    One of those players could be Hsu Wei-ling who, after getting to -3 at the 13th has played through the next two holes in par.

    She has three holes to go but given the way the rest of the top 10 are all over par for their rounds, she currently holds solo third place.

    Posting -3 in the clubhouse would be a statement.

    The way the leaders are playing at the moment, if someone can get in and post a score in front of them, they will have a real chance just sitting in the clubhouse.

  14. Woad still a runner

    Lottie Woad goes within an inch or two of an eagle with a stylish chip on to the green at the 11th.

    The 22-year-old easily taps in for birdie.

    Three shots off the lead and Woad is still in contention.

  15. Hull -1, Ko +1 (12)

    Charley Hull makes her par putt on the 12th and now drives the 13th green, well through it actually.

    Can she get up and down for a birdie? This is wide open.

  16. Ryu -3, Kuwaki -4 (10)

    Haeran Ryu must be full of confidence having won the Women's PGA and Evian Championships, but now only two shots adrift of the lead, she whips her tee shot into a fairway bunker on the 11th.

    Not what was called for.

    My commute to work involves crossing the path halfway down the eighth fairway and behind the 10th green. Over the past 18 months, they have added new bunkers to the eighth fairway and the construction process was truly a work of art.

  19. Back-to-back bogeys for Noh

    Yealimi Noh chips out of the sand to leave herself a putt for a bogey from about six feet and the American is able to roll it in.

    Noh breathes a sigh of relief.

    All of a sudden, the leaderboard looks a lot more tightly grouped after consecutive bogeys for Noh - even if playing partner Esther Henseleit also drops a shot.

    It's who panics the least.

    Having a good, reliable caddie is really important while having a playing partner you're comfortable being around can make a real difference.

    Esther Henseleit and Yealimi Noh probably don't have that.

    She's just got to go through her processes. Whatever she has, she's going to need to do to stop dropping these shots.
