The hugely negative comments from Luis Suarez and others about Bielsa suddenly make a lot of sense. To take off your captain and one of the best players in the world 10 minutes into the 2nd half is unforgivable!

    Uruguay 0-1 Spain

    Charlie Adam
Former Scotland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

That's a tough challenge. It's what we expect from Uruguay, fight for your country and that's what they're bringing to this game.

You have to find a way to take the game to Spain. They have been much more aggressive in the second half.

    Uruguay 0-1 Spain

    Andros Townsend
    Former England winger on ITV

It feels harsh on a legend you brought out of retirement to play at this World Cup. Muslera's had moments where he's struggled throughout the whole tournament.

Could you not have done it before the second game, before the third game?

  15. Postpublished at 02:17 BST

Surely Cabo Verde are destined to finish second, to be rewarded with a truly once-in-a-lifetime game against the defending world champions Argentina and arguably the best player of this era? I would love to see Vozinha trade shirts with Messi.

Now Kevin Pina - who scored a stunning long-range effort against Uruguay in the last match - fires just wide of the post from distance.

  19. 'Deserved a better ending'published at 02:15 BST

    Cape Verde 0-0 Saudi Arabia

    Glenn Davis
Former USL soccer player on ITV

Best passage of play of the night for Cape Verde. A well constructed attack, good switch of play to find their man, but Monteiro could not get good contact. That really deserved a better ending.

    Cape Verde 0-0 Saudi Arabia

Jamiro Monteiro can only aim a tame shot at goalkeeper Mohammed Al Owais at the end of a slick passage of play from Cape Verde.
