Morocco defender Redouane Halhal is booked by referee Michael Oliver for a reckless lunge on Tani Oluwaseyi. Canada have a free-kick on the right-hand side of the penalty area.

But before it is taken, Morocco's Ismael Saibari is down on the floor injured.

Stephen Eustaquio steps up to take the corner and floats the ball towards the penalty spot. The delivery is met by Celtic defender Alistair Johnston, but his header is blocked by a cluster of Moroccan shirts.

Canada are not dropping deep, they are just waiting for a ball to be played into midfield and then they are pressing with aggression.

Really good start from Canada, pushing Morocco back and showing their intent.

Bono is called into action again and this time produces a fantastic save to deny Tani Oluwaseyi.

Canada pressed high and forced a turnover before Oluwaseyi showed wonderful skill to create an opening inside the area.

The ball makes its way to Morocco goalkeeper Bono, who puts his foot on it, seemingly keen to calm things down and take the sting out of the atmosphere among the Canada supporters.

It is not a bad idea, to be fair.

Canada like to press high but if you press Morocco they will pass you off the pitch. This is such an interesting match-up.

Canada are applying the pressure early on and have had two more corners since Richie Laryea won their first.

I didn't expect the Morocco - the African champions - to be on the back foot so early.

The corner is cleared, but Canada recycle possession well and the ball is flicked on to Jonathan David in the area.

The forward manages to get a shot away, but he is denied by Bono from a tight angle.

It has been a really bright start from Canada.

I think Morocco will prefer to play against a team that comes on to them and Jesse Marsch's teams always do that, they play on the front foot.

Canada have their work cut out, let's see if they are brave enough to go toe-to-toe.
