Hibernian striker Kathleen McGovern missed a penalty as Partick Thistle picked up their first post-split point in the SWPL after holding the reigning champions to a goalless draw at Meadowbank.
Scotland international McGovern missed the target nine minutes in to the second half after Joelle Murray's side were awarded a spot-kick for a handball.
McGovern later crashed an effort off the crossbar while captain Siobhan Hunter went searching late on, but ultimately it proved to be a frustrating afternoon for Hibs who defeated league leaders Glasgow City on Wednesday.
But, for Gary Holt's side - who were narrowly beaten by Rangers midweek after conceding a 94th-minute winner to Celtic in their previous outing - it was a hard-earned point which proves they can go toe-to-toe with the best in the division.
