Worthing have re-signed midfielder Ricky Aguiar following his departure from National League side York City.

The 25-year-old academy graduate returns to Woodside Road for a third spell after spending the second half of last season on loan at Horsham and Eastleigh.

Aguiar made 130 appearances during his previous spells with the Rebels, scoring 28 goals, and impressed during a loan return in the first half of the 2023-24 campaign, registering 12 goals and five assists before being recalled by Swindon Town.

"We are absolutely delighted to welcome Ricky back to Woodside Road," manager Adam Hinshelwood told the club website.

"He is a player with immense quality in possession and can score goals from a wide range of positions, just like he did for us in his loan spell a few years ago.

"I can't wait to be back working with Ricky on a daily basis. He adds a lot of depth to our midfield options."

Aguiar said: "Returning feels special to me, and I'm coming back with more experience and hunger.

"It's a club with big ambition and I'm proud to be a part of what's being built and excited to be back playing in front of the fans again."

Boston United have signed Sheffield United right-back Sai Sachdev on a loan until January.

The 21-year-old, who had a brief spell in the National League with Oldham Athletic on loan in 2024, has made two senior appearances for the Blades.

Kidderminster Harriers have signed defender Zach Willis after he left Birmingham City at the end of last season.

The 20-year-old, who can play at full-back or in central defence, has been on trial with the National League newcomers after exiting St Andrew's without making a first-team appearance. The club have not disclosed details of the length of his contract.

Willis had a loan spell with Peterborough Sports in National North last season, making 17 appearances as they were relegated to the Southern League Premier Central.

FC Halifax Town have signed Stoke City goalkeeper True Grant on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old came through Manchester City's academy and was part of the side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2024.

Grant previously worked with Shaymen boss John McGrath during a season-long loan spell with National League North side Buxton in 2024-25, before joining the Potters last summer.

He is the son of former Derby County and Stoke City goalkeeper, and now Walsall boss, Lee Grant.

Halifax finished eighth in the National League last season.

Worthing FC have signed midfielder Jack Wadham on a permanent deal as he returns to the club for a third spell.

The 23-year-old has been training with the Rebels this summer and playing in pre-season friendlies as a trialist after two previous loan spells.

Wadham arrived on loan from AFC Bournemouth in January 2024 during Worthing boss Adam Hinshelwood's second stint in charge, making one appearance.

He then signed for National League Sutton United in summer 2024 making 25 appearances, before a second loan spell with Worthing, making six appearances.

Hinshelwood said: "He's a player that we know well, adds real value ​and is suited to our style of play, and he has that vital National League experience, which is such an important asset for our side".

Worthing have signed former Dorking Wanderers goalkeeper Harrison Foulkes.

The 25-year-old Hull City academy product has a wealth of non-league experience and was awarded three different player of the season awards at Dorking last term.

Hornchurch have signed midfielder Asher Yearwood following his departure from Maidenhead United.

The 29-year-old will be playing in the National League for the first time after working his way up through non-league.

He made 40 National League South appearances for Maidenhead last season to help them reach the play-offs.

"He is a totally different type of profile in midfield to what we already have at the club," manager Daryl McMahon told the club website, external.

"He is someone who instantly lifts the session with his enthusiasm, quality, running power and we believe that after a really good season, he is someone we can develop as well."

Forest Green Rovers have signed goalkeeper Ethan Ross on a free transfer on a one-year deal.

The 29-year-old left fellow National League outfit Altrincham at the end of last season after missing the entire campaign with a knee injury.

The news comes just a few days after head coach Robbie Savage told BBC Gloucestershire he was on the lookout for a new number one.

"Ethan has been training with us over the past week. He is a fantastic goalkeeper and brings a wealth of experience at this level," Savage told Rovers' website., external

Halifax Town have signed teenage attacking midfielder Arian Allen on loan from Stockport County.

Allen, 18, made four appearances last season for Stockport - two in the EFL Cup and two in the EFL Trophy - and has dropped down to the National League side from League One County to gain some valuable playing time.

He started out at Everton's academy aged 10 and spent six years there before moving up to Scotland to join Rangers' academy.

Allen, who is under contract at Stockport until 2027, made the move to Edgeley Park in February last year and his only start for County came against Wolves Under-21s in the EFL Trophy in September.

Wealdstone have brought back midfielder Aaron Henry for a third time after his contract with Boreham Wood was mutually terminated.

The 22-year-old has signed a permanent deal after two previous loan spells at The Vale, becoming Wealdstone's fourth summer signing.

The Charlton Athletic academy product played 20 games on loan for the Stones in 2021-2022, followed by another 20 in 2023-2024 to help keep them in the National League.

Wealdstone manager Gary Waddock told the club website:, external "Aaron knows the club well and was keen to come back, which is a really encouraging sign.

"Most recently, he's been in a squad [at Hornchurch] competing at the top of the table so that's also a big plus in terms of the mentality he'll bring to the squad."

Halifax Town have signed forward Amari Morgan-Smith on a one-year contract.

Morgan-Smith, 37, has just ended a five-year spell with Kidderminster Harriers where he scored more than 50 goals and won two promotions.

Carlisle United have appointed Tom Lawrence as the club's new chief executive.

He replaces Nigel Clibbens, who left Brunton Park earlier this year after a decade in his post.

Lawrence held the same role at fellow National League side Southend United for the last five years and before that had a similar post with Gillingham.

"Tom has led clubs in both the EFL and the National League and understands first-hand the challenges and opportunities that exist at this level of the game," Carlisle chairman Tom Piatak told the club website, external.

"He has operated in demanding environments, dealt with complex football and business issues and understands the importance of combining ambition on the pitch with strong financial management, commercial growth and accountability throughout the club."

Lawrence's appointment is subject to the required regulatory approval and he will act in an interim capacity for now.

Hartlepool United have brought in defender Liam Gibson following the expiry of his contract with Harrogate Town.

Gibson has signed a one-year deal at Victoria Park after three seasons with the Sulphurites, with his new club holding the option of an extra year.

The County Durham-born defender, 29, was on the books at Newcastle United as a youngster.

Eastleigh have signed defender Nick Akoto following his exit from Burton Albion.

The 27-year-old right-back spent the past two seasons with the Brewers, making 33 appearances.

He previously played in America for Tormenta FC where he made 50 appearances, scoring two goals and registering five assists.

In his youth career, Akoto was part of AFC Wimbledon's under-18 side, leaving in the summer of 2017.
