Sheffield Wednesday have signed Swansea City defender Ricardo Santos for an undisclosed fee on a one-year deal.
The signing is the club's first since being taken out of administration in a takeover by US consortium Arise Capital Partners in May.
The Owls, relegated to League One last season, have the option of a further 12 months on the 31-year-old's contract.
Santos joined the Swans from Bolton last summer but only made one appearance for the Championship side.
He made 172 league appearances in five seasons with Wanderers and won his first cap for Cape Verde last season.
"Once I got the call from my agent telling me that Sheffield Wednesday was a possibility, I told him, make sure you get this done," he told the club website., external
