Stevenage sign Burnley striker Mellon

Stevenage have signed Burnley striker Michael Mellon for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the League One side.

Mellon did not make a first-team appearance for the Clarets but had several loan spells away from Turf Moor.

The most recent of those was last season in League Two at Oldham, who are managed by his father Micky Mellon.

He scored 10 goals in 18 appearances during his stint with the Latics.
