Port Vale have signed goalkeeper Jackson Smith from Barnsley for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract.
The 24-year-old becomes the club's second signing of the summer window following the arrival of Jasper Moon last week.
Smith moves to Vale Park after spending the second half of last season on loan at Grimsby Town where he kept 13 clean sheets in 22 League Two appearances.
"We are delighted to welcome Jackson to Vale Park. He is a player who has already gained valuable experience at this level and has proven he has what it takes to provide a steady and reassuring presence at the back," Vale head coach Jon Brady told the club website., external
