MK Dons have signed midfielder Ryan Barnett on a season-long loan deal from Wrexham.

Barnett, 26, can be deployed as a winger or as a wing-back and started his career at Shrewsbury Town where he spent 14 years before a move to Solihull Moors in 2021.

Barnett switched to Wrexham in February 2023 and was part of the squad which won three consecutive promotions as the Red Dragons rose from the National League to the Championship.

He made 112 appearances for Wrexham across three-and-a-half seasons and becomes MK Dons boss Paul Warne's seventh signing of the summer window.

"Ryan's a player that I tried to sign before. He's a really athletic wing-back who wants to cross the ball," Warne told MK Dons' website., external

"He wants to run forward with the ball, which is right up our street and gives us another attacking option out wide."
