Swindon Town have signed midfielder Danny Butterworth on a five-month contract until February 2027.
The 26-year-old former Blackburn Rovers player initially joined Swindon in August 2024, making 40 appearances, scoring six goals and providing two assists.
He made 11 appearances at the start of the 2025-2026 season before damaging a hamstring and missing the rest of the campaign.
Butterworth was invited to train with the squad during pre-season, and has now been offered a new deal.
He told the club website, external: "Its probably been a long time coming with the time I've been out and going through the rehab over the past 10 months or so. It's been tough, but to finally get something signed here, I'm really happy about it."
