Following his on-stage TV interview, Stephen Bunting turned to applaud the crowd and raised his bottle of water.

The fans have loved his efforts tonight and showed 'The Bullet' plenty of love.

A fine way for Bunting to end his Premier League campaign.

He takes home £95,000 for finishing fifth and also earned £20,000 through his two nightly wins.

  6. 'People wrote me off'published at 22:45 BST 21 May

    Result: Bunting 6-3 Humphries

Stephen Bunting, speaking to Sky Sports after winning night 16 of the Premier League: "I felt really great all night. This crowd was unbelievable. Everywhere I've gone in the Premier League, I've really enjoyed myself. I've been better than last year - a lot more confidence and belief. I'm really proud of myself.

"I was probably a bit hard on myself. I'm up to fifth! I'm so happy with that. People wrote me off and said I shouldn't be in it. I wanted to make a statement tonight and I want to be in this Premier League for years to come. That was a massive statement tonight from me.

"This game is all about confidence. When you're in the Premier League, you know you're playing against the best players in the world every week. People forget I've got a 15-week-old baby at home. It's been hard.

"The only thing that's kept me out of the top four is my finishing. I go home and I beat myself up sometimes. It's been so important that I have kept myself. Josh Rock and I are really good mates. We were in the back saying it's our leaving party.

"I'll be watching next week. I see these guys as much as I see my family. I love them all, they're fantastic lads. I can't pick a winner. There's an argument for them all. May the best man win."
