More from Luke Littler speaking to Sky Sports: "I'm just comfortable. Practice was going well and I'm glad to bring it to the stage.

"The crowd were OK tonight but definitely not the loudest. The loudest they were was when I was going for double 10.

"I think we need another Scottish player in the Premier League to pump the atmosphere up a bit.

    "Can't wait for next week."

  3. 'If Luke carries on like that he'll have a chance'published at 22:44 BST

    Result: Littler 6-5 Humphries

Night 13 winner Luke Littler speaking to Sky Sports: "Luke has slowed his throw down quite a bit but it was still a good paced game.

"Luke played very well there and he said to be at the end, 'I needed those two points'. But if he carries on into next week then he'll have a chance.

"Everyone knows he's been struggling but it was good to have us two playing like that and I think his worst leg was the last leg.

"That's the chase now, to break my own record [for nightly wins]. The last two weeks, I've definitely deserved the win."

On being back top of the table: "I always want to be on the top and I think Jonny [Clayton], I don't know if he's much bothered about it. He just wants to get to the O2 and, obviously, we've both got Qs next to our names.

"Now it is just time to chase and hopefully break my own records."

    Result: Littler 6-5 Humphries

Just a fantastic final - we shouldn't expect anything less when these two play.

Luke Littler averaged 104.11, hit two 180s and was only 35.29% on the doubles - but his scoring was relentless.

Luke Humphries was very good as well, averaging 103.10 with four 180s and hit five of nine doubles for 55.56%.

He would really have wanted those two extra points but if he keeps playing like he did tonight then the defending champion will have every chance of getting into the top four.
