Finucane targets top step at Commonwealth Games

Welsh cyclist Emma Finucane says the Commonwealth Games in 2022 was a "springboard" to all she has achieved in her career.

With two bronzes four years ago, she wants to stand on the top step of the podium as she competes in team sprint, sprint, keirin and 1km time trial events in Glasgow.

Finucane won team sprint gold alongside Sophie Capewell and Katy Marchant at the Paris 2024 Olympics and individual and team sprint world championship gold in 2024.

She has yet to win Commonwealth gold as she prepares for her second Games.
