I reckon the conversation now will be 'how many are we willing to leave for the final over?'. If they have one really good over, they should win.

With only having one wicket down they can afford a bit more risk. That will be part of the conversation now.

New Zealand need to just stay in the game as long as possible and put Ireland under pressure in the last over. They will feel it with having never won against New Zealand or in a T20 World Cup.

  4. Ire 91-1published at 14 overs

The New Zealand fielders are looking a bit rattled here.

Remember, Ireland have never won a game at a Women's T20 World Cup.

They are getting closer to ending that unwanted stat by beating the defending the champions. Game on.

Orla Prendergast was so quick to pick up on the change of length there.

Now then! Orla Prendergast picks up a short delivery by Melie Kerr and launches it over deep-midwicket for six. Poor ball, great hit.

That is a very clever shot from Gaby Lewis knowing that the ball isn't spinning.

That was a really good over for Ireland with 13 coming off it. They really needed it.

  8. Ire 81-1published at 13 overs

Ireland need 59 runs in 42 balls.

Up and over. Gaby Lewis clears the fielders for four. After a big over for Ireland, they are starting to look in control of this chase.

  9. Ire 76-1published at 12.1 overs

Ireland need 65 runs in 45 balls.

Poor bowling by Nensi Patel. Not for the first time, she strays down leg and gifts Ireland a boundary.

You do get the feeling that something is going to happen here. There was a long break for that review and it may have upset the rhythm of the batters.

  11. Ire 69-1published at 12 overs

Almost a mix-up as Orla Prendergast goes for a second run and is wisely sent scrambling back by her skipper.

A very good over by Jess Kerr, just three from it.

That's not a great decision from Sue Redfern, we have to say that. There was a lot of stumps showing but she was deep in her crease. You can see why she gave it.

  13. Not outpublished at 11.2 overs

    Ire 68-1

Ed is right. Very leg side. Missing the stumps. Orla Prendergast knew it straight away.

    That did look leg side.

She is right back on her stumps though and it only needs to be clipping with the on-field decision being out.

  15. Ireland reviewpublished at 11.2 overs

    Ire 68-1

Jess Kerr hits Orla Prendergast on the pads and the umpire's finger goes up.

The Irishwoman reviews straight away. Is it clipping leg stump?

  16. Ire 66-1published at 11 overs

Ireland need 75 runs in 54 balls

A boundary and five singles from the over. Hit the bad balls, make the most of the good ones. Nice stuff from Ireland.

    WinViz has Ireland as favourites.

    Agree? Hit the thumbs.

  18. Ire 63-1published at 10.3 overs

Rosemary Mair is back into the attack. Two singles to begin the over and then the seamer messes up her line and Prendergast gives it the treatment it deserves by pulling for four.

Nensi Patel may have over-thought that moving the fielders around and in the end she's fed Gaby Lewis' strength.

  20. Ire 57-1published at 10 overs

    Target 141

Nensi Patel shakes her head after sending it down leg side and Gaby Lewis guides it down to the fine-leg boundary.

This fifty partnership is up. Orla Prendergast and Gaby Lewis have scored 51 off 49 balls.
