    Razaullah has beaten the myth. He came here two days before the Test match, straight into a game in England and then he's beaten the odds. Release him. Use that confidence he showed with the bat and ball.

    If there was five overs left with Pakistan to bowl yesterday then it would've been more interesting with him going at England.

    Highlights: Razaullah stars as Pakistan fight back against England

    Yesterday was the first time this bowling attack was challenged and then they started looking leggy.

    When you get your tactics wrong and you're not quite energised as a team then it's not great. It was Ben Stokes kind of day yesterday. If a team under him was going through what they did you know he'd get the ball in hand.

    You're wondering who's going to take over that role. It's not easy to replace Stokes' edge but one of these players needs to step up.

    Former England skipper Sir Alastair Cook, a man who has been in Joe Root's shoes before, said the situation was "out of control".

    "You can get done by the tail - it's very hard when people have the license and ability to hit sixes," Cook told Test Match Special. "What I saw was no plan, it got out of control.

    "That's when you need the backroom staff and coaches to step up. I would loved to have seen a message and some real leadership from the coaches."

  17. There has been plenty of praise for Razaullah's batting last night but fallout to England's bowling and tactics too.

    It did seem like they lost the plot a touch when banging the ball in halfway down.
