A change in strategy for Australia - that was just Sutherland’s second over in the powerplay so far in the competition.

    Credit to Australia.

They have been clinical with their plans and bringing Mooney up to the stumps is a very smart plan to Danni Wyatt-Hodge with how much she likes to move around the crease.

  3. Eng 33-2published at 5 overs

England have been squeezed in this powerplay. It's all a little nervy from the batting side.

Alice Capsey gets off the mark with a single.

    Wyatt-Hodge c Mooney b Sutherland 8 (Eng 32-2)

There's a spike, a little tickle from Danni Wyatt-Hodge's attempted flick!

It was an excellent tumbling take from Beth Mooney behind the stumps, moving to her left. And excellent work to convince captain Sophie Molineux to take a punt on the review, too.

Wyatt-Hodge is out for eight. England are two down in the powerplay.

Now then. Beth Mooney is very interested in a caught behind against Danni Wyatt-Hodge.

The umpire signalled a wide but Australia send it upstairs.

  6. Eng 32-1published at 4.4 overs

Annabel Sutherland's opening over is proving a profitable one for England.

Nat Sciver-Brunt mashes two boundaries - the second off a free hit from a front-foot no ball - and runs hard with Danni Wyatt-Hodge for a couple more.

Australia can't afford to give Danni Wyatt-Hodge any width here. She is striking at 260 against balls wide outside off in the competition, compared to just 105 when the ball is tight to the stumps.

  8. Eng 20-1published at 4 overs

Australia captain Sophie Molineux saw her opening delivery hit to the boundary, Danni Wyatt-Hodge dancing down for a heave but instead slicing through backward point.

But the next five only brought two singles for England.

  9. Eng 20-1published at 3.4 overs

OHHH that was close! Nat Sciver-Brunt got in a bit of a tangle to a turning delivery from Sophie Molineux, dabbed at it, and set off for a slightly dicey single.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge had to put in a superman dive to get home safely with Beth Mooney whipping the bails off just a fraction too late.

Well that should be the end of Amy Jones as an England player. Nowhere near an opening batter and her wicketkeeping has been poor throughout this tournament.

  11. Eng 14-1published at 3 overs

Wicketkeeper Beth Mooney is sticking with her strategy of standing right up to the stumps when Danni Wyatt-Hodge is on strike.

The England opener takes a single off the opening ball of the third over and Mooney takes a few paces back.

Kim Garth restricts England to three runs.

It comes in threes: so far for the Aussies, Friday done by Egypt in the football, Saturday done by Ireland in the rugby. Sunday is it the old enemy in the cricket?

Surely that early wicket has given you hope, Matt?

It feels like that's what Amy Jones should've done to her wicket ball! Nat Sciver-Brunt just waited a little later.

    A real shot of authority.

Nat Sciver-Brunt makes a statement with her opening stroke, banging a wide delivery into the off side for four, but three balls later, the England captain is swinging and missing at one.

    Tight over from Lucy Hamilton.

A well-deserved wicket for Lucy Hamilton who has been incredibly economical all tournament (4.4 runs per over).

She has hit a good length more than any other Australian seam bowler so far (40%) through the competition.

    A big blow.

That was wide, it should've been drilled through the covers really. She's just somehow scooped it straight to the fielder.

We know how good Nat Sciver-Brunt is but she would've liked a bit more of a platform to come in with.

Sharp hands from Georgia Voll and Amy Jones is heading back to the pavilion in the second over!

Jones flashed Lucy Hamilton's second delivery to backward point.

Out walks England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt.

England are hugely improved but Australia feel like another level up. Hope I’m wrong but hard to see anything but an Aussie win unless England are perfect plus 10%.

    Between 170-180 would be nice.

It's going to be a real challenge against a bowling attack of this quality.

  20. Eng 7-0published at 1 overs

Amy Jones gets England up and running at the second time of asking, edging to the boundary for four.

It was nearly an excellent stop from Phoebe Litchfield but her double-save is in vain with the ball dribbling into the rope.

Beth Mooney stands right up to the stumps for Danni Wyatt-Hodge, who is fortunate to see an inside edge drop short of the wicketkeeper.
