    Jacob Bethell extravagantly flashes at wider delivery from Harshit Rana and despite not quite striking it cleanly he has enough on it for a one-bounce four.

    He attempts to repeat it next ball into the leg side this time, but is caught in the deep.

    Young Vaibhav Sooryavanshi takes it superbly.

    Phil Salt, after a stodgy start, has got his mojo back.

    Slightly over pitched by Axar Patel and the England dismissively thrashes him over extra cover for four.

    Jacob Bethell then sweeps the left-arm spinner which beats a half-hearted dive from Shivam Dube.

    It's been good batting from the England batters because it hasn't looked easy to hit through the line.

    A set batter is very important on a surface like this.

    Plenty of thirsts being quenched by an array of beverages at Trent Bridge.

    India's players in a huddle as they take something decidedly softer on board at the halfway stage of England's innings.

    Good running by England again.

    Phil Salt dabs one into the leg side off Varun Chakravarthy and immediately barks "two, two, two" to Jacob Bethell.

    Later in the over Salt mullers the India spinner down the ground for four, before Prince Yadav lets a cut from the England go through his grasp and for four sweeping at deep cover.

    A profitable over for England.

    It's a bit of a gift.

    Phil Salt has been struggling to time it, but gets a half-tracker.

    Finally one out of the screws for Phil Salt.

    He punishes a delivery dropped a little short by Varun Chakravarthy and mows it into the stands over cow corner.

    Harry Brook rarely errs with the pull shot - in T20Is he averages 46 with the shot, striking at 224. An uncommon mistake for the England skipper

    That got big on Harry Brook who did not quite get the meat of the bat behind that shot. Prince Yadav looked to the sky and gestures in celebration.

    Jacob Bethell, collar up, swaggers to the crease and gets off the mark with a single into the leg side.

    There's nearly a run out when Phil Salt is sent back by Bethell but the shy from Axar Patel just misses at the non-striker's end.

    Prince Yadav skids on to the batter faster than expected.

    It's a top edge and Abhishek Sharma does well to take the catch in the end.

    Another member of England's batting royalty dismissed by the Prince.

    Harry Brook attempts to swat the skilfull India quick to the leg side but sends it flying skywards into the leg side.

    Abhishek Sharma waits an age for the ball to come down with snow on and despite not looking entirely convincing he clings on.

    Both these batters have looked to pick up ones and twos rather than looking for the big shot.

    On two occasions in Varun Chakravarthy's over the pair test India's fielders by pushing twos.

    Eight runs by farming the strike. Sensible cricket.

    Phil Salt flashes at a wide one from Shivam Dube and bottom edges it past wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan.

    It's not how, it's how many, right?

    Blame it on the Boogie belts out over the PA system at a sun-kissed Trent Bridge.

    It's now 18 T20Is since England got through a powerplay without losing a wicket - that was the Old Trafford game against South Africa last year, when they were 100-0.

    Phil Salt has a rather pedestrian nine off 13 balls thus far.

    Harry Brook hustles him through for a couple after working Shivam Dube into the leg side before cutting single to get the England opener on strike.
