Scotland got their plans wrong at the death. I think they've played well but maybe a few demons were still lingering from the West Indies game.

They'll go 1-3 after this game but it doesn't mean that they are out of the World Cup.

    Target 201

Scotland have played Charlie Dean really nicely today.

Kirstie Gordon and Pippa Sproul strike a four each off the over, and England's skipper finishes with 1-38.

England have been exceptional today, as they have been throughout this World Cup. They had the perfect game against Sri Lanka.

Against Ireland, I would've liked them to be more clinical but today, they haven't really put a foot wrong. Bell, Smith and Dean got taken down in the powerplay, but they've all recovered nicely from it.

And then Gibson and Kemp are showing exactly why they've been picked up for the most amount of money in the Hundred.

    Target 201

A few singles are worked around off Sophie Ecclestone but the Scottish lower order are going nowhere.

They might as well play a few shots.

England are going to win this match by quite some margin.

With that in mind, Charlie Dean turns back to Sophie Ecclestone.

  7. Sco 117-6published at 15 overs

    Target 201

Now is just the question of England can be really ruthless and get Scotland bowled out.

Pretty simple from Freya Kemp. Chatterji, looking to get things going but top edged it straight into the night sky. Scotland now have fallen into a bit of a heap.

    Chatterji c & b Kemp 5 (Sco 115-6)

    England close in on victory.

Priyanaz Chatterji slogs one up in the air and Freya Kemp makes no mistake, holding her nerve under the high ball to take the catch off her own bowling.

It's been dominant from England so far.

More brilliant work in the field from England.

Pippa Sproul drives nicely through the covers but a sprawling Danni Wyatt-Hodge emerges from nowhere to parry the ball inside the ropes and save two runs.

It was a good strike from Bryce, but the length is what did it for Linsey Smith. Bryce went to hit it for six but Smith just took the pace off. It was a good catch in the end by Gibson, right on the edge.

England have fielded really well. There was a dropped catch early on but it was a really tough one to take.

  12. wicket

    S Bryce c Gibson b Smith 34 (Sco 109-5)

Very smart bowling from Linsey Smith and England get the big wicket.

Sarah Bryce charges down the pitch but Smith sees her coming and drags her length back, forcing the batter to play across the line. Dani Gibson takes a well-judged catch on the boundary and it feels like Scotland's slim hopes have departed with Bryce.

That was almost a tennis racket swipe, that's an absolutely beautiful shot.

    Oh, hello!

Sarah Bryce clears the front leg and swipes Lauren Bell over extra cover for six.

That is a contender for the shot of the day.

Great response from Gibson after that boundary from the first ball.

The run-rate is creeping up considerably for Scotland.

McColl was just following on from Sarah Bryce, just trying to get on with it a bit earlier than England did. She went for some big shots that she's gotten away with. Didn't get it that time, that's just how it goes sometimes.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 11.2 overs

    McColl c Kemp b Gibson 10 (Sco 92-4)

    Dani Gibson gets the breakthrough.

Megan McColl got a streaky boundary from the start of the over, edging over the keeper, but falls next ball.

She connects well with a shorter ball from Gibson but the square boundaries are massive and she picks out Freya Kemp, who barely has to move.

This is the best Scottish line-up in the last 25 years. They are producing competitive cricket that they can be confident about. The injection of them into the domestic leagues and the franchise leagues is a big factor. It's great to see them competing.

  20. Sco 88-3published at 11 overs

A rare expensive over from Charlie Dean, that, as she is whacked for three fours by Sarah Bryce.

She goes through the covers, through mid-wicket and past backward square as the over goes for 15.
