Sussex have signed all-rounder Joey Evison from Kent on loan prior to his move being made permanent on 1 October.
Evison's move to Sussex for the 2027 season was announced in July but he will now join his new club for the remainder of this year's County Championship campaign.
The 24-year-old will be available for Sussex's final five matches, starting on Thursday against Somerset at Hove.
Evison was at Leicestershire on a short-term deal earlier in the season - his second spell on loan with the Foxes - and contributed 55 runs in a victory over Yorkshire.
In total, he has featured in 57 first-class matches in his career, scoring more than 2,500 runs and claiming 92 wickets.
Kent director of cricket, Simon Cook, said: "With the majority of our first-team squad fit and firing heading into the run-in of the Rothesay County Championship, we have agreed with Sussex that Joey can join them early on loan to provide first-team cricket opportunities. We wish him well at Hove."
