Evison to leave Kent for Walker reunion at Sussex

Kent all-rounder Joey Evison is to leave the county at the end of the 2026 season to join Sussex on a three-year contract.
The 24-year-old, who was a key part of the Spitfires' One-Day Cup-winning side in 2022, has signed an all-format deal with Sussex.
He will be reunited with former Kent coach Matt Walker, who takes charge at Hove next season.

Evison, who has scored 2,561 runs and taken 92 wickets in 57 first-class matches, scored the winning runs against Sussex in last season's T20 Blast with his unbeaten 48 from 24 balls at Hove helping Kent into the knockout stages.
"Joey is someone I've followed for a while and this is the perfect time for us to bring him into the club," said Sussex head coach Paul Farbrace, who will step up to the director of cricket role next season.
"He is a talented all-round cricketer and will make an impact in all forms of the game. Joey has a real desire to want to improve and work hard to be the best he can be."
