Azu backing himself in Commonwealths 100m

Welsh sprinter Jeremiah Azu says he is backing himself to be in the position to fight for a medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Azu, 25, finished fifth in the 100m in Birmingham four years ago as Kenya's Ferdinand Omanyala sprinted to gold.

At his second Games, the podium is his aim.

The Welshman won the British, European and World Indoor 60m titles in 2025.
