There's no time for a breather at the bowls.

While the day started with the dramatic culmination and celebration of Scotland's Para-mixed pairs B2-B3 champions, it ended with the beginning of the Para-men's pairs B6-B8 and the Para-women's pairs B6-B8 campaigns.

The men's duo of Garry Brown and Stuart Sloan kick-started their quest with a straight-sets victory over South Africa.

Taking the first five-end set 4-1, the Scots wrapped up the second 6-3, making the perfect start to their group.

It was a more disappointing evening for the women's pair of Mary Wilson and Pauline Wilson, though, as they lost out to Malaysia on the tie-breaker.

They bounced back from their first set 6-4 loss to clinch the second 6-3 and force the extra end, but they couldn't sneak a victory.

They'll have a chance to claim their first win on Wednesday when they play Canada.
