Kenya’s Special Service United was disbanded by President William Ruto for carrying out extrajudicial killings.
Four Kenyan policemen accused of being behind a spate of murders, abductions and torture across the country went on trial today in the capital Nairobi. We speak to BBC’s Emmanuel Igunza for the latest.
A fire broke out on the continent’s tallest mountain, Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania, on Friday, near one of the most popular climbing routes. Authorities say it is largely under control.
