
Eritrea's mass mobilisation of military reservists
Eritrea is mobilising military reservists to bolster the army.
A military mobilisation is under way in Eritrea in which reservists up to the age of 55 have been recalled to bolster the army. Eritrea has been implicated in the war in Ethiopia, reportedly aiding its neighbour, Ethiopia, fight rebel forces.
Egyptian authorities have released 46 people, including many activists, who have been in detention without trial for several years.
And after a three-year break due to the Covid pandemic, Uganda’s electronic music festival Nyege Nyege is back on.
