
Ethiopia: EU says drone strikes on Tigray endanger peace
The European Union has said in a statement today, that government drone airstrikes in Ethiopia’s region of Tigray, endanger the hope for peace.
The European Union has said in a statement today, that the Ethiopian government drone airstrikes in Tigray, endanger the hope for peace. It also accused Eritrea of impeding the process by involving itself in in the conflict.
Also, after narrowly winning the country's tightest elections, João Lourenço has been sworn in for a second term, as Angola’s president. The results were initially contested in court by former rebel movement UNITA; however, their appeal was not upheld.
Plus, in Zimbabwe, students have been protesting over the massive increase in tertiary education fees announced by the government. The hashtag #FeesMustFall started trending on social media in Zimbabwe in protest as the current increase puts University education well beyond a vast percentage of students in the country
