
Curfew extended in Sierra Leone after violent anti-government protest
At least six police officers are amongst the dead, following violent protests on Tuesday in Freetown and two towns in the north of Sierra Leone.
The authorities in Sierra Leone extend curfew after violent protests yesterday in Freetown and at least two towns in the north of the country known to be opposition strongholds. A cautious calm has returned today with some shops opening. Twenty seven people including police officers are amongst the dead.
