World’s largest civilian hospital ship docks in Senegal to train local health workers
The world’s largest non-governmental hospital ship - the Global Mercy has made its maiden voyage to Africa as it docked in the Senegalese capital Dakar, where the crew on board is helping train hundreds of local health workers.
The governing party in Nigeria, the APC, has chosen a former governor of Lagos State as its presidential candidate for next February’s election. Ahmed Bola Tinubu defeated more than a dozen aspirants at the party’s primaries in the capital Abuja, where more than two thousand delegates voted.
King Philippe has handed over to the Democratic Republic of Congo the first of some 84,000 artefacts looted during the colonial era that Belgium has agreed to return.
