
Google Translate adds 10 new African languages
Google announces 24 more languages on its Translate platform, and 10 are from Africa.
Global tech giant, Google has announced that it is adding 24 new languages on the Google Translate platform. Ten of the new languages are in Africa – Oromo, Tigrinya, Twi, Bambara, Ewe, Krio, Lingala, Luganda, Sepedi, and Tsonga.
Also, the Islamist militant group, al-Shabab, has said it carried out the latest attack in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, targeting a checkpoint on a road which leads to the city's airport.
And the creator and executive producer of Young, Famous and African, Peace Hyde, on what inspired her to make the hit reality series.
