South Africa: Spike in Covid cases as fifth wave surges

South Africa is experiencing a spike in Covid cases as infections have jumped from 6,000 to almost 10,000 cases a day according to the National Institute for Communicable Diseases. This is happening at a time when the Aspen pharmaceutical company charged with manufacturing vaccines for the continent, is about to go under due to a lack of orders.
