
TPLF blame Ethiopian government for aid not reaching Tigray
Both agreed a truce to allow aid in but now accuse each other of obstruction.
The Ethiopian government and the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) rebels have agreed a humanitarian truce to allow aid into the region, but both have accused the other side of continuing to obstruct deliveries. More than 90% of the population in the region is in urgent need of assistance, according to the UN.
Nigeria’s Minister for Transport Rotimi Amaechi has visited the scene of the train attack on Monday in which eight passengers dead. Gunmen attacked the busy train travelling between Nigeria's capital, Abuja, and Kaduna city, hospital, sources have told the BBC. The train carrying 970 passengers was forced to stop.
