
DR Congo: M23 Rebels deny shooting down UN helicopter
DR Congo's army had blamed the rebels for the incident in which eight peacekeepers died.
Rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo have denied shooting down a United Nations helicopter in the east of the country. The M23 group blame Congolese soldiers for the incident in which eight peacekeepers died. Government and rebel forces have been fighting after the group attacked villages.
Rights group, Amnesty International, have denounced a spate of unlawful killings and enforced disappearances in the last year in Kenya in its latest global human rights report.
