Cheers as islanders sail to Chagos from Mauritius

The official reason for this boat trip is to map the reefs around the archipelago.

There were cheers from the Chagossians as they set sail for their remote island home. They believe their removal by Britain in the early 1970s was a crime against humanity. Pan-African lawyers have told the AU to prioritise Ethiopia's civil war, accusing the Government of atrocities against Tigrayans and calling for dialogue.
