Chad: Army says it killed 300 rebel fighters
The army says the rebel fighters were advancing towards the capital N’Djamena
The rebel fighters in Chad launched the raid from their base in neighbouring Libya on 11 April, the day Chad held its presidential election, calling for an end to President Idriss Deby’s 30-year rule.
In Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera has fired senior officials including Labour Minister Ken Kandodo over alleged misuse of funds for the Covid-19 response.
