Malawi: President fires officials over Covid funds
President Chakwera has fired senior officials including Labour Minister Ken Kandodo
President Lazarus Chakwera said the dismissals followed an audit he commissioned into the spending of 6.2 billion Malawian kwacha ($7.8m) for the Covid-19 response.
In Chad the army says it has destroyed a rebel convoy that was heading towards the capital city N'Djamena. But residents there are worried.
