Kenya court upholds FGM ban

The Kenyan High Court has upheld a ban on female genital mutilation, a move seen as a key step in eradicating the practise in the country.

At least 58 people have been killed in Niger after attacks near the border with Mali when unknown gunmen opened fire on four vehicles transporting people from a market in the Tillabéri region.
